Pause

This morning the school buses did not arrive. The roads covered with
a soft layer of white snow, which renders the school buses in this
area useless. But I suppose it is always better safe than sorry.
The children were so disappointed, the last school days before
Christmas are good fun, and, of course, Santa was coming.
:(

So we decided to get the cloves out, the cinnamon, the oranges
and especially the glue. This is the most important
ingredient of having fun. Nice sticky glue.
We made lots of paper lanterns and decorated oranges.
This they did not enjoy. Cloves are painful, you know.
The plasters had to come out. The Hello Kitty Plasters.
Not the boring brown ones. They don't work.

The table is now sticky, my thumbs are sore and for some
odd reason my hoover doesn't work anymore after my Julia
( 5 year old ) demanded she would do the cleaning up (!)

*blinks*

... and I am getting postal paranoid.
Because if the school buses don't drive. The post will not be delivered either.

Patience

Such lovely patience. As we add little decorations here and there.
When my little ones secretly put secret gifts under the tree. The evenings
are shared with flickering lights and a worrying amount of ovaltines
and hot chocolates. The winter blankets are stacked for the evening,
to cozy under on the sofa, even when the house is not cold.
The  advent calender doors are religiously opened and counted every day.
I  find myself wishing such goodness to those I am sure would
not return the thought. But I wish you well, all year around, but
that bit more in December. Because it matters.
Not the gifts, or what you get. But the thoughts, that are somehow
so much warmer in our coldest Season.

Wrap up and think a happy thought x

Wrap Pack and Bundle

I have been developing a twitch in my eye, honestly. Have been
jumping up and down, type of thing, to show you the hand made items
for the Christmas swaps I made, but nope *slaps hand* I am not allowed
to post about any of that. *sighs* Would just spoil it for the recipients.

But this morning I was folding and wrapping up bundles of fabrics
for the Christmas Goodness Packages. And since I am not quite  'normal' of course,
I have to add frillies and bits to make it a 'Smiling Bundle'.

All I now have to do is shop around in Toulouse, and get
chocolates and such to add to the packages, and I am ready to go.

Ha! At least I was able to post one photo!
*runs away quickly*

have ever truly grown up.
And now is the perfect time to start preparing and creating gifts!

I would love to trade some Christmas Goodness Packages!
In the package will be
. Delicious chocolate/sweets
. A heartfelt hand made item
.  Selection of fabric bits
. An unexpected surprise
. A Christmas Card
-

If you would like to trade a Christmas Goodness Package with me,
please leave me a comment and let me know the things you favour, such
as colours and other important info I need to know.

All packages will be mailed in the 3rd week of November,
and upon receipt you are not allowed to peek until Christmas morning!
{ promise }

I will only be able to take on a handful of trades, and will pick randomly from
the list of people who have been so kind to leave me a comment.

Let the fun begin!
