Summer's End

It has been a lovely long Summer.

The heat has been something else though. 

All I can say is thank g o o d n e s s for air conditioning. 

I have opened my Etsy Shop again and am slowly getting my new projects together.

Oh dear sewing machine you have been missed much!

It was so nice to sit and sew again. It has been too long.

 

I made some soft cotton dangles again, and it was a perfect little summer afternoon.

Me and the machine with hot tea keeping me company.

I have used one of my watercolour illustrations on the cotton fabric.

It is funny how something so simple as sewing can be such a joy.

 

I am hoping the hot weather will ease up a little, though.

Sewing with fans blowing is not the easiest of tasks.

Feels good to be busy.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,

Is it just me, but can I feel the summer coming?

I can feel there is colour coming! 

And in the mean time I have not felt THIS good for THIS long.

*spreads arms wide*

I just know that the song in my head and the smiles on our faces

are as promising as the colours I am feeling!

A feel of fresh and new. But at the same time going back to where I kind of started so long ago with my love for collage and mix media. Taking a chance to change a certain style, or as I was hoping, to add to it, and not take away. I have an endless amount of plans. But then, I always do.

Itching to be Stitching

I have been busy painting little spools and little threads

and am happy to put a brand-new cotton tape in my shop! 

I might make a print out of the illustrations, too, but I am not sure yet.
