Busy table

I have a busy table in the middle of my home.

The more that is on it, the more it makes for happy feelings.

Lots of projects happening all at once. And the table gets quite a lot

of visitors joining in with even more projects.

I just love the sound of children around me, and the constant chat and sounds.

Quiet is not something that happens very often in my home.

 

This week I received this wonderful book in the post from my lovely friend Debs.

I am very grateful for having such sweet friends in my life (heart)

 

There was even a big plate of donuts this week! 

A home is not quite complete without some crazy calories.

I was definitely aiming for the cinnamon donut.......

 

My paintbox seems to have a permanent stay on my table.

I guess the lay out of the mess would be a bit odd without it.

I finished my very first crochet grannysquare scarf!

A Winter-Wonderland-Wrap-Around!

Perfect for windy cold weather, and boy oh boy, we have plenty of

that around here.

A little bit of this ....

I guess I just have not been able to make up my mind.

Will I paint? Will I do some lettering? Will I do some

more crocheting? Decisions decisions....

 

So why not just do them all at the same time, and put them

together on paper! ((heart))

 

 I have been thinking of making handmade cards.

Not sure if I have the time, but I would definitely love it.

Just a bit Hooked

It was not that long ago I decided to try out crocheting.

I was convinced that I would neeeever be able to do it, but the yarn shop and I got along so well,

that I ended up having a silly amount of yarn, and am now officially hooked.

I can't even say I ever have a plan.

I just get into a shop, and I run my hands over some yarn, and that is it.

Got to get it.

It is like finding a really good friend.

Being incredibly restless and having no ability to relax, crochet is keeping me happily busy.

 Needless to say I have a bunch of lovely people in my life who have 'ordered' blankets,

cushions and whatnot's for me to crochet for them.

Do I mind?

Nah not at all.

 It is such a lovely gift to make for my loved ones, and it is keeping me entertained for hours and hours in the evenings (when I can't seem to sit still)

 

Not to mention the shopping trips to yarn shops

I am hopelessly hooked on crochet....

 

 

Tinkering

... today I am happily tinkering away.

Print, cut, create, wrap, pack, post.

 

Feels good to be busy.

Rainy days

I am slowly getting back into drawing and illustrating. I simply have not had the time to sit and ponder as much as I like to ( and need to keep sane ) 

But when I do I keep compulsive cups of tea and coffee coming. For some odd reason sitting and sketching is not complete unless there is a steamy cup of brew right next to me. 

I suppose one can have worse addictions, so all is good. 

To make the perfect set up, I must have a bag of liquorice within reach. 

I know. I am not right.
