Crochet Conundrum

My second ever granny square blanket is nearly done.
Truth is, it has been semi 'finished' for a while. But I can not make up my mind what to add as a border all around it. This is definitely where my newbie-ness shows.


 
My crochet conundrum continues.....
 
 
The blanket itself is massive. It can easily cover two people in a snuggle position on the sofa.
But it is in dire need of a lovely border.
 
 
Does anyone perhaps have an idea?
What kind of border would you put on this blanket?
I don't mind any amount of work involved. I just wish I could finish it.

    this is one of the loveliest granny square blankets i have seen. often i am not fond of the colors people choose. this is fresh and lovely. I might pick my favorite color in it and use it for the border. or if you wanted to use a different fabric, something soft and inviting.

    That blanket is gorgeous border or not. Love the view out your window, do you live in the forest? Just beautiful.

      Yes, we live in a forest :) It is really beautiful, but in the Summer (sadly) it makes our house very dark inside, because of all the trees.
