I am a pondering kind of person. Sometimes I think too much, but I am sure that it can be said that I don't think enough at times. Those moments of sheer emptiness. It is ever so nice to not think at all.
Those are the days where I want to sit and read. Especially big old books.
With yellowish pages that have been worn down by hands over the years.
Personally I don't think you could ever have enough old books.
Or old book shops. Perhaps it is just me, but somehow it is a bit of magic.
I have just been so inspired lately by words. I will be making a few more cotton tapes with old lettering. This is the first of the Old Books tapes I will be putting together over the next couple of days.
omg omg omg... that is fabulous! I must HAVE it!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you love that old book smell? I do!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the new tape is a genius idea. I love it!

ReplyDeleteI know this feeling - and I adore old books ... so this tape is just gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteLovely new tape - you know how much I love text. Save some for me when I come over next week! Talking of old books, I bought some yesterday from around 1885 - they have the dedication slip inside from where somebody was awarded them as a university prize. The best thing about them are the covers - so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love old books as well. But just like I have cutting anxiety when it comes to fabrics I would have a hard time cutting in old books. I leave that to anxiety free people.
ReplyDeletea fabric tape with book print, now that I could see myself cutting into a the right size!
Can anyone ever have enough books, period?

ReplyDeleteOoo yes old books.....I have the the most incredible collection of very old books that dates back to the sixties that belonged to my father. It even has underline markings made by him as he is so fond of doing even to today. He will be turning 80 this May and he could teach a thing or two about computers too ;-)
