Goodnight sleep tight

After many coffees and the aid of licorice and bits of chocolate I finished my very first patchwork blanket.
I fear I might now have a serious compulsion. I want/need to make more. I now also have the perfect excuse for fabric shopping, since I really 'do' need that piece of fabric. Honestly. I do. Right?

My first patchwork is a large "Goodnight Sleep Tight" blanket. Not that I am compulsive in any way you know, but I 'had' to add some lettering somewhere.  *laughs* I have to admit the blanket is far from perfect, and I made quite a few mistakes, but I love it any ways :)

If any one knows a great online shop with fabulous fabrics, please do let me know, so I can be prepared when I start twitching and stuff, and need to make another one :)

(many thanks!)

  12. What a gorgeous Quilt. I love the lettering - it was an inspired idea and I'm sure people will now want to add this to their bedlinen too.

I'm determined to get to grips with my mum's old sewing machine as I want to make some things for Violet's bedroom.

I've purchased gorgeous fabric from www.saintsandpinners.co.uk - great website, very fast service and they wrap the fabric in lovely tissue paper and ribbon - who could ask for more?

    www.donnaflower.com - lovely vintage fabrics.

    www.fabricrehab.co.uk

I haven't ordered anything from the last 2 websites - but I intend to ;0)

  28. Oh Anna, it's beautiful...fantastic bright vibrant colours... Now that you are a quilter is there any chance you could put this phrase on tape so we can all sew it into our childrens quilts. If I have to buy fabric I always buy from 'ebay' sellers - even with postage and packaging it still works out at half the price I'd be charged in Ireland....
