Monday Morning

I have to laugh. There is this thing in my head, telling me to paint.
But on the other hand I really want to do sewing, and create some large
handmade wool felt houses. I would not mind doing some ink drawings either.
By my calculations I would need the days to be at least 10 hours longer.
There is no harm in wanting I suppose, but there is a basket full of laundry
screaming my name, there is orders and custom orders to do, lunch to make
and plan dinner. The children need help with their home work, too.

I will do what I always do.

  1. I know that feeling so well without the small children to tend to! At least whatever gets left, drawing, sewing, are all amazing things to look forward to.

  3. Same here. Can't decide whether to embroider, draw or quilt and always behind in household chores. I'm pretty good at ignoring the 'to iron' pile though. I've also been doing much more folding of my washing lately instead of ironing. Saves a lot of time! And maybe some of the kids clothes are a bit crinkly sometimes at least the clothes are clean.

  4. Ohhhh you make me smile. I know what you mean! I need the days to be 10 hours longer and the weekends to be one day longer, and still I would probably feel I didnæt have enough time.

  5. The days really are getting shorter...I'm thinking of cloning myself so I can share all those things I want to do with my other self.

  9. It is frustrating isn't it. I have a few projects I want to do but hey ho they will have to wait - gggggr. I even sat at work on Sunday cross stitching in my break just to get a craft fix.

  10. Yesterday I tried to do as much housework as I could with my kids at home...because I planned to do so much painting and artwork for today. And the reason I can do so much today is because my kids go back to school this morning. 1st day back from the Easter school holidays...Yeah. No one can tell I'm excited though!

  12. Monday morning & I was in as similar predicament....so totally overwhelmed, I cleaned the floors, had 2 hour sleep with children doing who knows what...floors were at least still clean when I awoke from my slumber. Only I did remember being yelled at for some drinks, remember yelling back 'just have a popper drink', I found empty containers everywhere & no poppers for school lunches!

I did get to do plenty of sewing monday night as I was so nicely rested!!!

    Be kind to yourself:)
